Have to agree with Rob Camra on this one.We had a family get together here handpumps on the bar but not in use. This is a very untidy pub with poor staff we went next door to the LEES PUB where they serve a good pint of cask and service with a smile.

Roy & Nataliya DENSON are the landlord & landlady of this pub.

Make up your own mind who may or may not have an unbiased opinion of the pub.

This pub was not recently extended. This resteraunt extention was done over 10 years ago. There is currently an extention to the back of the dining room underway, soon to be completed in early January 2011, this is due to the popular demand for the carvery. The pub itself is warm and friendly and they have a mixture of customers of all ages. Comments like 'chavvy bunch' are extremely untrue and uncalled for. The Harrows is a family pub, friendly and welcoming. They are not like the Lees house next door and do not claim to be, although the food definatley gives them a run for their money! In actual fact the chef at the Harrows used to work for JW Lees brewary and put their menu's together, with Christina Lees Jones! The harrows carvery runs from 12 until 8pm, Monday-Friday and 12 until 6pm on Sunday. They do not do food on a Saturday. The carvery is the best in Rochdale. Glen, who is the chef, originally worked at The Yew Tree Inn, during the pullman carriage era.

This pub has been extended fairly recently and now has a separate carvery area attached to the side. The carvery is £3.50 from 12 - 6 weekdays, so I wouldn't expect top class food. The main pub is one fairly small room with no distinguishing features at all. The bar is facing you as you enter and there's a pool table to the right and a quiz machine to the left. On Saturday night all three handpumps had the clips turned round, pathetic. The clientele appear to be a fairly chavvy bunch along with a couple of their kids running around even at 9:30 on a Saturday evening. This pub is the complete contrast to the nearby Success To The Plough where we had just been. I had a pint of Fosters!! and Ms Camra had a glass of a cheap red wine (the only one on offer) that wasn't cheap, if you know what I mean. We drank up quickly and left. I hadn't been in here for about 20 years until last Saturday. I may well never visit here again unless something changes. It's not good.
