Steve C left this review about The Office @ Station Hotel

The entrance of the Station Hotel leads to the foyer with a reception desk that sits opposite a large flight of stairs that lead up to the hotel rooms, one of which I stayed in on a recent Wednesday night. After checking in I climbed the stairs to find many of the rooms named after characters from the popular TV series Peaky Blinders, which I found a bit odd, but hey-ho when in Rome. This is an aparthotel so there are cooking and cleaning facilities meaning it is popular with local workers, most of whom are working on the many building sites around Dudley. Back down the stairs into reception and the bar entrance is towards the rear. The counter runs up the right where standard keg was available alongside Peroni. I counted three hand pumps, two of which were in operation drawing Wye Valley’s Arthur’s and Green Duck Brewery’s Java the Hut. Sitting at one of the tables in the carpeted open plan seating area opposite the bar counter I noted that this is a Peaky Blinders themed pub with lots of paraphernalia on the walls. This explained the room naming upstairs! At the rear is a tile floored area with a bit more seating and a permanent disco rig that is set up to the left of the rear door. The music was actually very good, but the set-up was a bit surreal. Out the back are lines of picnic tables and a privately managed car park, be sure to enter your registration into the tablet at the bar counter. I actually thought it was very welcoming in here and it was a lot more pubby than most hotel bars. That said, I’ll not be staying in the hotel again.

Pub-like, single room lounge in a large 1930s hotel. Modern décor in an older style, stained glass, tiffany lights, light wood but with comfortable bench seating, tables and stools. Machines and a smallish screen there are some sofas and a pool table in the conservatory like structure on the car park side of the building. A range of UK kegs including Banks's mild (“Original”) and bitter but no handpumps.
