Adjacent to the Leeds/Liverpool canal. One of Market Town Taverns pubs, this pub doubled in size in 2006 when the company acquired the adjacent property. You will find good food and beer here,8 real ales on.I settled for Black Gold and Golden Pippin both from the local brewery Copper dragon. Also Moorhouses was very good beer. will return.

This pub is down a narrow cobbled alleyway.
This is a narrowish and long pub that is quite dark inside.
There is a great choice of real ales here with 8 on the bar,i had a drink of Ormas best a new beer to me and very nice the other beers were Copper dragon Golden Pippin /1816, Taylor Landlord,Black Sheep plus three other micro beers.
This pub was very quiet mid saturday afternoon.

Fantastic pub with fantastic food. We visit Skipton with our dog and are always welcome in this pub and the food is absolutely great. If you want boring pub grub - don't come here, because the food is anything but !!
We went to Skipton yesterday and there was a party in the upstairs of the pub so the kitchen wasn't serving food, but when they knew we were regulars they made an exception for us, and the food wasn't any less tasty because they were busy. I had the veggie sweet potato hotpot and OH had the sausages (he always has this) and we didn't need anything else that day because the portion sizes are good too. OH loves the choice of Ales and our dog is always made a fuss of and given a drink. Well worth a visit - and try the food, you won't be disappointed.

Small narrow pub with a food offering.
Real Ales on hand pull from Black Sheep, Copper Dragon & TT with guests (Hawkshead at time of visit). Also a small cask on bar containing a Barley Wine expected to be ready for the weekend.
Dinning area seperate from the bar and an upstairs seating area.
Live Jazz & Folk music several times a month.

I wasn't very impressed with this pub. The entrance was down a tight alley so the front windows don't let in a lot of light, making the pub dark and dingy looking. I was looking for some fish and chips that day and they did not offer it on their menu so we found a different pub that did.

The website makes it look really bright but it's not, especially the bar area, the seating area was a little better.
