Wyldes is a large open plan high street pub with a mezzanine level at the rear that is available for hire. Televisions are located throughout for watching live sports, muted horse racing was airing during a recent Wednesday afternoon visit. Along the left wall is a small pizza kitchen with clay oven that adjoins the bar behind. The usual Holts keg range is available as is Holts Bitter from two hand pumps. The Holts Two Hoots was off and a fourth-hand pump was unused. This place is great for a cheap pint, the Holts is almost half the price I pay for a pint of Harveys down south and I prefer it.

A large recently refurbished Holts pub, which is accessible via the corner entrance. The interior was bright and well furnished, with a mix of wallpapered walls, and creams and light green painted walls and timber. There was a good sized bar running along the left hand side wall, which had a panelled cream painted front, I say panelled, they had pinned some beading to it. The bar area also had large trendy hanging lampshades along the full length, which was the better feature. The pub also had a pizza oven at the far end, which was wafting out a nice aroma. Four handpumps with three Holts beers on, so I went for the IPA which ok and not overly priced.

Holts’ own version of a town centre drinking barn. pleasant enough but very dull on an afternoon, I almost found myself nodding off. Holts Bitter, IPA and Two Hoots reasonably priced. there’s very little to say about it really.

This place is a bank conversion so isn't a typical Holt's pub, in fact as noted below it's a bit like a Spoons. There was very little in the way of furnishings on my visit apart from low tables and chairs on the two slightly raised areas. There is an upstairs area that I didn't look into that is available for private hire. There are TV screens everywhere which were mostly showing silent horse racing but two showing 1980s pop videos with the sound on.
Although there are something like six hand pumps only Holt's Bitter (£2.45) was available which was in decent nick. The barmaid said that they may do more after the renovations so that may have explained the lack of furnishings.

A large corner pub next to Sir Bobby Peel. Real ale available, mostly Holts. Similar to a downmarket Wethers/Yates's. Toilets are on the top of Mount Kilimanjaro.

This Holts pub is definitely styled on the Wetherspoon/Goose type pubs that are all over the place now. Sells Holts Bitter and whatever the seasonal is. Last time we called in I had to take the seasonal beer back as it was total vinegar. It was changed for a Holts bitter but it had obviously "gone" quite some time ago to be so bad. Food is also Wetherspoonsalike although the quality is a bit better. Smart for a Holts pub, but only OK really.
