Old Boots left this review about The Sun Inn

Traditional pub with a multi room layout around a fairly central counter. Banquette seating at cast iron based tables with beer mats, sporting memorabilia - mostly cricket as it’s Yorkshire, and big screens showing sports even at lunchtime. Full trophy cabinet and not a trace of navy surplus paint. Usual range of national kegs plus Theakstons best and a guest from someone called Cooper Hill - the pump clip wouldn’t pass the sexism police being very much in the mould of Top Totty, the third pull was unbadged. Bradfield Farmers Blonde, Roosters Yankee and Ruddles Best (!) were coming soon. I liked this one - there aren’t many decent, cosy, friendly pubs like this left.

Graham Coombs left this review about The Sun Inn

Excellent and well-run community pub with lots of activities: quiz, music, darts, golf, poker etc. A good drinking area round the centrally-postioned bar, with a couple of tucked-away corners, and a large and comfortable traditionally-furnished room to the front. Small car park at rear with a few tables outside. Beers include a few local regulars and an enthusiastic regularly-changing guest list.

The Sun Inn is in a nice location opposite acomb green.
Once inside this looked like a really nice unaltered country type pub, when you go in here the bar faces you and there is a room to the left which looked very comfortable and a drinking area to the right which was more like a bar there was a tv in this area.there was also another room to the left most of the seating was chairs and small tables.
There were three real ales on the bar i had a drink of Copper Dragon Golden Pippin and this was very nice the other beers were Directors and Flowers IPA,the pub also did food but the tables wer'nt laid out for food so drinkers could have a drink anywhere in the pub.
The pub was fairly busy on my sunday dinner visit and i was quite happy having a drink in this very nice pub,i would advise anyone to visit this pub.
