Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Cricketers

Not to be confused with the eponymous real ale pub on the east side of Addiscombe, this establishment near the Lebanon Road tram stop looks interesting enough from a distance but starts to appear more run down as you approach. Once past the small front patio you find a 'U'-shaped bar with fairly basic furniture and decor. There is a bit more seating at the back plus a rear beer garden (not visited). Several sports TVs. Now has two handpumps, with Doom Bar and Pride (£3.50) available

Good review from Pub Signman but sadly the single handpump has been removed ,leaving only keg beer and lager and no reason to stay any longer than necessary.

This is a nice, homely feeling pub situated along the Croydon tram line near the Lebanon Road stop but easily walkable from East Croydon.
Seating is arranged around an island bar and the predominantly wooden interior is livened up by various bits of cricket memorabilia and a collection of international bank notes on the beam above the bar.
The pub seems to attract its largest crowds whenever the football is being shown and as such, lager dominates the bar, with just one pump offering London Pride being evident amongst a sea of Carling (£3.10). Music was being piped in at a low enough volume for it not to be a distraction, although there were barely any punters there to listen to it, despite it being St Patrick's Day.
The pub boasts a nice seating area out the front where you can people watch and see the trams go by and I believe there is a beer garden out the back as well.
It could be a nice pub, but the bland beer selection and high prices make it worth a trip down the road to the Oval instead.

Pleasant enough for an early evening aperitif on a Saturday night, comfortable atmosphere despite unwatched Arsenal match on the TVs. If they got rid of some of those tellies and had a better choice of beer than Pride or Pride it would be one of Croydon's better offerings.

Change of feel on Sat pm when it was full of blokes watching Chelsea on tv. Not hostile exactly, but a very different pub to a mid-week visit. Handy for the tramstop (Lebanon Rd). Only the one handpump serving London Pride, which was fine, but I just had the one and jumped back on the tram (to Addiscombe) in search of beer variety at the Claret freehouse.
