Popped into this pub after visiting the castle. We were four adults and when we asked what beers were available the landlord(?) pointed without a word to the single choice. Not a good start. Lounge was empty on a bank holiday afternoon but a few locals in the bar. Room was rather dull but had some traditional character and being good visitors we returned our empty beer glasses with a cheerful 'thanks'. Landlord ignored us, preferring to play with his iphone. Obviously someone who should not be in the hospitality business. Other pubs on the high street are better, friendlier and have wider choices. Give this one a miss.

Right by the castle. When you've finished looking at the lovely views from the castle pop into this pub. Small, friendly and the drinks are decent too.
