Alastair Barter left this review about Aberfoyle Inn

Just checked the address of the Aberfoyle Inn - it’s 16 Main Street, not 55 Main Street.

Graham Coombs left this review about The Clachan Hotel

Peculiar place in what was once the village general stores, which retains the impressive wooden shelving on which is displayed sundry paraphernalia. There is also a games room signed at the rear but did not visit. The whole place has a somewhat run-down feel, although it does have the potential to be a nice little bar. No real ale, indeed seems more geared to coffee and snacks.

David Ross left this review about The Clachan Hotel

The hotel section of the building is currently closed, so there’s no accommodation available despite the word Hotel still appearing on the outside. The Clachan Restaurant and Lounge Bar is open, however, both occupying the same ground level, street front room. There is also a rather run down looking games room on a raised level at the rear of the building and a not very attractive beer garden at the side. Another outdoor seating area on the pavement at the front faces on to the main road through the village (although it’s a fairly quiet road). The most appealing section is the main lounge/restaurant, whose massive wooden bottle and trinket filled gantry around most of the walls makes me wonder if this was once a shop. There is only a limited and predictable draught drinks range, consisting of Tennent’s lager (at £3.20 a pint), Caledonia Best, Guinness and Magner’s cider.
