This pub is now closed. It closed early April 2006 after the Smoking Ban came in. Owner said that since 95% of his customers smoked and he could not afford to lose 95% of customers. Did he think that they only came to the pub to smoke? Surely they came to drink with their mates, play pool, escape from the wife etc. A feeble excuse, and I think that is what it was - he wanted to close the pub!
