Odd one. There is a single listing on PuG and it’s treated as a single entity on St Austell’s website/WhatPub. However there are two very different bars in the same complex (two different buildings) and from what I could see* there was no internal access between the two.

The one labelled Tyacks (left side as you look from the road) is deathly dull modern bar, the main area stripped out for live music so a paucity of seating. Décor consists of some cheap wood planking, purple lighting (!) and a pool table. Friendly barmaid presiding over two St Austell beers - Hicks and pretty decent Tribute (NBSS 3.5).

The one labelled Trevithicks (door to right side) is much more laid back and traditional compared to its neighbour and the coffee signage gives a clue as to who they're after. Fairly bland interior with the odd pubby touch such as the half hexagonal bay window banquettes and the occasional bit of leaded glass. Same two cask on as Tyacks, I went for the Hicks this time which was a flat over-vented fag end beer (NBSS 2).

I doubt I’d be motivated to head out of Spoons to try either again next time.

A small town hotel in two contrasting parts. The lounge bar and restaurant is fairly smart and furnished traditionally. The rather large public bar is more like a club, with dark décor, coloured lighting, pool tables etc. Beers from St Austell, with more choice in the public side but condition seemed ok throughout (Cask Marque accredited). Nice to have the choice of how posh you feel like drinking.

This appears to be two buildings, the original hotel on the right and some terraced housing to the left that has been turned into a public bar. This consists of a spacious open plan room with darts, TVs and a pool table. There is a bar in the other building but I didn't look into it.
When I came here on the Tuesday night there was nobody serving so I ended up walking out. I had better luck on the Thursday when I got served St Austell HSD for £3.00 which was in good nick. It's tied to St Austell so the other two beers were Tribute and Cornish Best.
This seemed to be one of the better options in Camborne which overall is a poor town for real ale.

Georgian former coaching inn, once known as the King's Head. Two bars: one older and more pub-grub concerned, the other frequented by the town's 'smart' crowd. An expensive pint. Service consistently snide.

Under new management, food excellent but pricey. Car park £2 reclaimable at bar if you buy a meal. Nice to sit near windows and watch the world (Camborne) go by.
