Old Boots left this review about Queens Hotel

A smallish multi room pub with nooks and cranies and an interesting atmosphere, one room to the left is full of books and there are various bookshelves dotted about. The walls are stripped back to brick and the floors broad boards, the décor is best described as eclectic. There’s a big screen, piped music and a couple of organs. Place settings are everywhere on the traditional furniture apart from a couple of small leather armchairs around the wood burning stove. Beer comes from a cask on the counter, they have two in the tourist season and the condition wasn’t bad, there was also a polypin of cider plus Guinness, Carlsberg and an ersatz cider on keg. The pub is in the 2013 Good Beer Guide which describes it as “a distinctive pub-going experience” which is about right.
