Gill Smith left this review about The Hole In The Wall
Dating from the 18th century and originally the town's Debtors' Prison, this locals' pub is entered through a leafy garden containing a stream and tropical plants, presided over by a rather bleached stuffed lion. The single bar is subdivided by archways. There is a comfortable conservatory area containing the television. The Lion's Den restaurant upstairs offers a good menu prepared with local produce (meals 1200-1400 and 1800-2100, no food Mondays). There is a paved garden for families. We enjoyed the Bays Topsail beer.
