Will Larter left this review about The Albert Inn

Entering the Albert is like taking a step back in time to about 30 or 40 years ago - a back street boozer with three distinct rooms and Stones Bitter on an electric pump from a tank. None of your fancy real ale malarkey here! The only thing missing from the authentic atmosphere of the 1970s was a fug of cigarette smoke. There was a crowd of regulars having a good time in the main bar, but as all the seats were taken we went around the back to the next room, where there's a pool table and some tables and bench seats around the walls, and a couple of stools at the bar. A small sitting room or snug was further round towards the front. The Stones was bland and cold, but at least drinkable. It's not really worth making a special effort to come all the way out here for what real ale enthusiasts would not hesitate to describe as a substandard drinking experience, but if you fancy a step back through the time portal to 1976, give it a go.
