Jonathan Wilde left this review about Wiltons

After being Wiltons this became Bacchus which again subsequently closed and was still closed after my last journey through Salisbury late 2015.

E TA left this review about The Bacchus

Previously The Wilton Hotel, the original building dates from the 17th Century, though the present frontage is Georgian. It was a Courage pub, now owned by Ushers. The change of name and image meant a drastic makeover, done very cheaply - the original beams had plasterboard nailed to them, but they weren't properly finished. What timbers are still exposed have been very badly treated and it just looks like a cheap mock-up. It is a single L-shaped bar at the front, and the former games area at the back is now laid out for diners. There were three ales on, an improvement from before, though the Hobgoblin I had was not well kept and had been tainted with something which wasn't Hobgoblin. There is free wifi available. It's worth trying every now and again.
