Steve C left this review about The Plough Inn

The Plough Inn is a Hall and Woodhouse pub found in Ifield Village Conservation Area where it is overlooked by St Margaret of Antioch church which dates from the 13th century. Outside the front of the pub is a patio area with eight picnic tables that are made from 100% recycled bottles, 2000 of them in fact. At the rear is an advertised car park.
There are two bars, the left side is sparsely decorated and had one local sitting at the counter, so I decided to have a beer in the right-hand bar. This bar is larger and more comfortable, although I thought it would be a little more rustic considering the pub exterior and location. This is a family friendly pub and food is available during lunch and dinner periods. I didn’t spot a television and there was no background music during my recent Friday afternoon visit. I did not visit large rear area of the pub; I think it was closed. This looked like a restaurant/function room.
Available from the bar was a standard keg range and the four hand pumps were drawing Badger Old Harry’s Pale Sail, Fursty Ferret, Best and Tangle Foot. This pub is closed between 15:00 and 18:00 during the week. This pub is OK, but I’ll not be going out of my way to revisit.
