Soup Dragon left this review about The Summerhouse

A detached pub with patio area. It is rather plain, in undressed brick, with a string course in black, yet is locally listed as it was built for a small brewer by architect F T Beck. The interior has one room that i saw, which is L-shaped around the serving bar. It is in white and wood panel, with some red and a red lino tile fllor. There is a pool table one end and a dart board at the other. A few TVs were showing the footy - there was a large pull down screen, but this wasn't used and there was no music. A few old photos and 60s actors, as well as a mirror were sparsely placed on the walls. Several gaming machines were present. The service was fine and a few friendly locals were in. Beer; usual tap stuff with Banks's MILD, which was ok enough. No real ale. A happy enough place, just nothing for the real ale drinker.
