Soup Dragon left this review about The Nags Head

A detached small white rendered pub, with blue paint work and part ‘rusticated’ effect on the lower façade, looking like it dates to the early 20th century. There is a patio area at the back.

The interior has a single U-shaped room around the serving bar that faces you on entry. The decor has brown and white walls, with a yellow-ish ceiling and a part loud carpeted floor, apart from around the pool table, which has a brown and cream chessboard flooring. At the end of each part of the 'U' there is a green tiled fireplace, and above one there is a dart board. A few prints are on the walls for decoration. There are a few Tvs on the wall which were showing the football and there is also a punchbag machine. Music came from a jukebox, rather loudly. The service was functional at best and the clientele consisted of several mature locals sitting around the bar.

Beer; no real ale, all keg. The M&B MILD wasn't on, so had a bitter shandy.

Nothing for the real ale drinker, a basic keg beer choice. Very much a locals pub and long may it remain that.
