Ironic - like buses, nothing for years and two on the same day! I was also in on Wednesday, updating some of the Bloxwich pub reviews. As a building, the Saddlers is a generic 60s styled estate pub, rather like a big house, with extensions, with little grace and charm, but it does have a fine patio area.
Inside, there are two rooms that form an L-shape. The bar has been redecorated since i last visited and is now in white, with yellow wood panel and cream ceiling. There is an undressed brick chimney breast. There is darts and a 'mobile' pool table along with a TV that was showing the football. The pew styled bench seats and stools have been re-covered and the place looks a lot tidier. There was no music due to the footy and a few trophies are dotted about. The service was fine and the clientele were more mature - it was a good atmosphere. The lounge is in white, with just a few pictures. I popped in briefly to see the karaoke set-up. I am not really as fan of karaoke, however, as the previous reviewer states, Taz and Deb are pretty good, and do several places locally that draw a loyal following. The place now does food, though i haven't eaten here so can't comment on it - the previous reviewer clearly has. The pub now also advertises as a family pub. There is a TV in the lounge also.
The beer; tap stuff, with Banks's MILD and bitter on handpull. The MILD is very good.
I visit infrequently, as it's a little away from other pubs in Bloxwich. Despite real-ale drinkers having a limited choice, it is now better than the 'muchness kind of place' i quoted before, as it has been scrubbed-up and you feel safe here, as well as the beer always being decent.
Worth a visit for families and those that like karaoke!

Sadly, the pub is tucked away & unless you know about it you're not likely to find it. I discovered the Saddlers Arms quite by accident about 3 years ago, whilst doing some door-to-door canvassing work on Lower Farm Estate in Little Bloxwich. I have been going there ever since. The Licensee - Lesley - her family and her staff are always welcoming and create a very warm, inviting and family-friendly environment.
Oh, and the food!!! It's to die for!!! It's home-cooked & served with a lot of care and attention. The meals are extremely well priced and the portions are generous too. For example, on Monday they have the Monday Roast Club, which is a full roast dinner for just £3.00 - and that includes a free hot drink. I took my wife there last Monday - Valentine's Day & we were both amazed at the size of our meals and each struggled to finish.
Also, Tuesday to Friday they do 2 meals for a tenner & that includes a free pudding each. You can't cook at home for that price!
Wednesday night is a particular favourite of mine. It's Curry-oke Night. You get curry, rice and naan for only £4 - and for just an extra £1 you can have home-made chips too. The curry is made fresh by Lesley and is just delicious! The curry is served from 5:30pm until 8:30pm and then this is followed by Karaoke, with one of the best karaoke DJ's in the area - Taz. Personally, I'd say Taz is the best DJ I've come across - and I'm an avid karaoke fan & have been to many a karaoke in my time & I've not come across a DJ as good as Taz. He and his wife, Debbie, are very personable and friendly, and Taz does a great job as Compare. He also has a few imitation musical instruments & we tend to mess about with these too & pretend we're jamming - which is a lot of fun.
Oh, and Sunday dinner deserves a mention too - it's great value for a home-cooked roast dinner with all the trimmings.
I would, without hesitation, recommend to all the residents on the Lower Farm Estate and in and around the Little Bloxwich & Great Wyrley areas to visit the Saddlers Arms Pub in Fishley Lane, Little Bloxwich and you'll see what a great pub it is. They recently got a website, which has directions to find it - http://www.SaddlersArmsPub-Bloxwich.co.uk. Come along, I know you'll have a bostin time!!!

This pub is to the north east of Bloxwich and is well away from the town centre.
This is a typical 60s built eatate pub but once inside the pub was quite smart with two rooms i went in the lounge which was quite comfortable.
This pub was a Banks's tied house and there were two of their real ales on the bar i had a drink of Banks's mild and this was a decent drink the other beer was Banks's bitter.
I thought it was worth the walk to get in this pub.
