UPDATE: The former Talbot. This is a corner bar and restaurant. The pub is a Victorian beerhouse. It sat on a plot of land with Princes End and Coseley railway station behind, a boiler works next door and the Great Western Hotel next to that. It is a cottage, with extensions at the side and rear, and with a side entrance. It is in cream, with some black paintwork. The interior has a restaurant room upstairs (didn't see). The bar is an L-shaped room that is in cream with a laminate floor. There is brown Chesterfield style perimeter seating with comfy chairs. There is a pool table and a dart board to follow, so i was told. Some bistro art is on the walls. There is a TV, which had general programmes on. The service was really friendly, but sadly there was no other clientele. There was no music. Beer; no real ale, just the usual tap stuff, with M&B MILD (for £1!). I had a shandy. It is tidy enough and the landlady was really chatty - i really hope they can make a go of it.
