Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Bulls Head
Fine old multi-room pub with two separate bars and two dining rooms around the central serving area. Also has a much larger dining room for events in the adjoining building of a similar age. Modernised to a varying degree in each part, but some character remains. Also has a shady side beer garden. Banks's Amber and Mild (£4.00), Wainwright and Pedigree available between the pair of handpumps on each counter.

Classic looking traditional country pub. Plenty of people eating. We sat in a small bar area with an open fire. Pedigree, Banks's and Wainwrights available. The wainwrights was spot on, probably the best pint I've ever had of it - so good that I had another! Well worth a visit.

Wooton Wawen is a small village on the original route of the A34 dominated by a Palladian mansion which, bizarrely, is the HQ of a caravan site company. The pub is an ancient multi-roomed half-timbered building with very pleasant gardens. The sort of quintessential English pub you see in the movies. But it stops there and you have to contend with Marton's beers. The Wainwright came up like chicken soup and, with the alternatives being Banks's Mild and Pedigree I threw in the towel and resorted to taking a pint of eurofizz into the garden to enjoy the sunshine.
Nice stop for a coffee.

Building is dated 1317.
Former Cottages/agricultural buildings. Timber framed. Grade II listed.
Mainly setup for dining - but what an environment, with the exposed beams and lovely furniture.
Beers not so impressive - typical marstons fayre - wainwright and pedigree. Pedi a bit tired and this is only a pint that works when kept exceptionally well.
10 for the architecture. 6 for the beer.
