A Victorian corner pub, appropriately in white render considering the name. The pub has a green central band and the old corner entrance, now blocked, has a painting of a ship-of-the-line above. The pub has just re-opened after a period of closure. The interior as a main L-shaped bar room, which is generally in white with a wood floor, with no real pictures, a TV (showing daytime programmes). At one end there is a pool table, where there is a chessboard floor and pictures of snooker players and F1 cars. There is another room, which I didn't see. The service was friendly, there was no music and the clientele was mixed and local. Beer; no real ale, just the usual keg drinks, with only lager on it appeared. I had half of shandy and moved on. They do some food. It seems like a work in progress - so good to see it re-open.
