Steve C left this review about The Railway

The Railway is a small L-shaped local’s boozer that has reopened after a period of closure. Premium keg was available alongside Carling and two hand pumps that were drawing TT Landlord and Moorhouses White Witch. During a recent Sunday evening visit one of the locals was intently debating the benefits of a rotating ale range with the friendly landlady. Alas he was losing the battle. To the right of the bar is a dartboard and a couple of television were airing muted Sky Sports whilst the likes of Elton John played in the background. This is a decent local, but it should be noted that last orders was called at 20:00.

Standard pub close to the station. This was our last stop so I didn't take much notice as it was a flying visit before heading back to Brum!

Standard down to earth pub. Sparsely decored inside with the ceiling and walls displaying a large variety of ticket stubs from bands, footie, rugby and more. Just the one handpull working today for real ale though there was real cider available too.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Railway

Basic, no-nonsense, corner boozer and now the nearest to the station since the Great Western burnt to a shell. Irregularly-shaped bar in an overall 'V' shape, with plain furniture and limited decor. Byatt's Colombo (£3.30) and Wye Valley HPA available from two of three handpumps, with a chalk-board indicating Mad Goose and Goats Milk as coming next.

Quinno _ left this review about The Railway

Basic, scruffy place with little intrinsic value to the average pub-goer. Tick-shaped interior with very worn fabric seating. Eurosport competing with piped music. Plus points: friendly barman and one ale - the local Church Farm - which was fair. Decent atmosphere though very blokey. Dart board. Makes you wonder why, given its location close to the station, it doesn't do more.

Busy locals pub that was doing a good trade on my Thursday afternoon visit. They had a reasonable selection of cask beers on and found The Urban Red from Byatt's craft brewery at Coventry a fair drink.

Soup Dragon left this review about Railway Inn

A rather odd shaped cream rendered/painted detached corner pub, with patio area

The interior is open plan forming two areas either side of the bar and is predominantly in white. It is a locals place, with the TV on for the Cheltenham festival and everyone it seemed had a bet. The card games went on in the corner and the people and the service were fine. There was also darts and a few strange arty pictures otherwise you had the feel of a 70s working mens' club, which i do not mean in a bad way, as i felt quite at home.

Beer; tap stuff, with Black Sheep, Spitfire and Brew XI, the Brew XI was OK

It was the fact that the beer wasnt really my choice that means i would skip this place.
