Traditional village pub occupying a largish double-fronted property of uncertain age. As you enter the bar is on a curious split-level arrangement to your left. The area on the right is laid out for eating. It's a genuine free-house that's kept well away from the corporate designers and makes a change from the many gastro-abominations around. GKIPA and DoomBar seem standard, but a couple of well-kept local brews atone for that. Very friendly, and handy for the nearby JLR HQ and Jnct 12 of the M40.
