Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Bear & Ragged Staff

Unremarkable Greene King town pub, with a partly opened-out but blandly refurbished interior comprising various seating and dining areas. That said, the pool table was in competitive use, and there was a good-natured crowd around that, clearly enjoying their evening out whilst not annoying anybody else. IPA and Abbot (£4.60) being poured from two of the three handpumps.

Nice looking pub with a couple of ales on. Silhill Gold and Tribute. The Gold wasn't the best and 1 pint was returned (the first one off) and replaced. Nice enough pub but the beer quality let it down a little.

The Bear and Ragged Staff is a nice looking pub that is just down from the Lion but on the opposite side of the road.
Once inside there is a large opened out room which still has different areas, the bar is to the rear right, there are normal tables and chairs in the main area, there is a raised area to the front left which is carpeted and has normal tables and chairs, the front right area has a pool table and darts board.
The pub is a Greene King tied house,i had a drink of Gk Old Golden Hen which was ok,the other beers were IPA and Abbot.
The pub was doing breakfast but there were no takers at over £3.00 when the Lion was doing them at 99p.
This is a very smart pleasant and comfortable pub just a shame that GK run the place.
