Steve C left this review about The White Bear

The 18th century Grade II listed White Bear has a main flagstone floored bar area with low beams and a serving counter across the rear wall where Premium keg is available alongside Fosters and three hand pumps. During a recent bank holiday Monday late afternoon visit one of these was unused and one was off, which left Theakston’s Best as the lone cask option. Off this bar area to the left and either side of the front entrance are snugs, that would once have been separate rooms with their own fireplaces. I imagine many plans have been hatched in this pub over the years. The carpeted right-hand side of the pub has partitioned seating and televisions for watchin Sky Sports, which was muted whilst some background music played. It wasn’t very busy, which may have been due to the funfair that was on the heath just up the road. That said, the service was friendly and I enjoyed my stay so I’d pop back in if in Knutsford again.

A really nice old style pub with an imposing thatched roof. Inside descriptions are elsewhere. Real ale available. Beer garden to the rear.

This is a really nice looking pub with its black and white front and thatched roof.
The inside is just as good with low beams and an olde worlde atmosphere to it, there was a stone floor and the bar faces you when you go in here.
There were two real ales on here i had a drink of Greenalls bitter the other beer was Theakston best.
I walked to the bar with no problems but when walking back to get a seat i cracked my head on a low beam so be carefull when drinking in this pub.

Pub visited 13 october 2007.
