Basic boozer, with a main drinking bar area , a seperate room with access to the bar containing a pool table and the strange area mentioned by malden man below. Dissapointingly there was no ale to be had on my visit with two bare pump handles and another with a reversed Courage Best clip.
It may be ok for its regulars but I gained the impression of a pub treading water and going nowhere.

This was a flying visit for a last quick half and a pee stop before the train. Only in around 5 minutes, a quick half of Caledonian Flying Scotsman, the Courage Best pump was reversed while one was unclipped. The main room was fine, to the left another room housed a pool table and dart board. Strangely, off the main bar there was another partitioned off space with a sofa, TV and a coloured lighting arrangement.
Football on the box, an outdoor area looked rather daunting, being patrolled by a pair of dogs. A nice looking building from the outside which fails to deliver.

OK for a quick pint of ale (Bombardier and Pride on last Monday tasted fine). Otherwise fairly unremarkable really.
