Soup Dragon left this review about The Plough Inn

A detached white rendered cottage-styled Victorian Banks's pub with beer garden.

The interior has a couple of rooms. The bar is an L-shaped room curving around the serving bar. This room is in white, with white and beamed ceiling. There is a large brick fireplace dominating one area and there are a few pictures and prints on the walls. There was a TV, which has a music channel on in the background. The other room is a lounge for dining and there is a pool table. The decor here is a toffee colour and cream walls, with white ceiling and red carpet. The place does food, but sadly had stopped serving when i visited, so i haven't tried it yet. Menu is on the website link i have attached. The service was really friendly, as were the several locals sitting and chatting at the bar.

Beer; usual keg stuff with Jennings Cumberland Ale, Marston's Pedigree, Banks's Bitter and a decent Banks's MILD on handpull.

I had a great 2 minutes in here! Mrs Soup and I were looking for a place to eat and this place was listed as closed on PG. Mrs Soup, understanding as she is, said nip in and see if they do food and have a quick half if not otherwise you won't settle, like a child on Xmas Eve. Great little place and with the Cock Inn just around the corner, a nice spot to visit. I must pop back.
