Update: Having heard the pub had been refurbished I thought I would take another look. The exterior of this Marston's double-fronted cottage with lower level extension had been repainted and their is a patio area. The two rooms are still present: an L-shaped bar with pool table, dart board and TV and a family restaurant room with TVs, grabbing machine, decent level music. The colour scheme is a bit garish, but it is so much better than was years back. The food was Ok, with a basic menu. Service was friendly and one family were in at my early visit. Three ales were on: Pedigree, Hobgoblin Gold and a decent Jennings' Snecklifter. No longer an abomination, it is a solid pub, worthy of a swifty in the bar.

Dec 2009: This is a large detached, white rendered pub, occupying more than one building.

The interior has two rooms, one of which had its lights out and was all dark, so i didn't see it - the other room, God knows if it is a bar or lounge, is modern and all in white - so bright i nearly got a sun tan. There is a white sofa, comfy chairs, fake flowers, wood floor, pool table - it is out of place in Wimblebury!

The service was fine and there was nobody else in. This was because, not surprisingly after the last review, the place closed just a few days later, then reopened with a relief gaffer a few days after that. I can only feel sorry for the wedding party and the closure and re-opening isnt going to make them feel any better, i am sure

Beer; tap stuff, without even a MILD. No real ale. The banks's bitter on keg was ok to be fair.

The relief gaffer seemed a nice bloke and i wish him well, but the pub is an abomination to someone of my tastes.

my daughter held her wedding reception here, and on the day no chef was available, leaving the bar staff to cook for 22 guests, and there was supposed to be a large buffet and it was a few sandwiches and not even got dishes for crisps etc, my advice dont bother, it hadnt even got beer on tap! the only nice thing was the room, the landlord is a waste of time as he has been avoiding her, and offered no compensation

The New Trafalgar is a contemporary alternative to Friday/Saturday night out in the town centre. Friday night in the bar is hilarious with Karaoke in the lounge and many a free shot from the team to keep you smiling. Its large function room is perfect for special occassions and is free to hire.

Sunny evenings and weekends are well spent in the larger than normal beer garden and excellant kids play area. Outdoor speakers bring the pub atmosphere outside, whilst inside the Nintendo Wii, stylish pool room, many large screen tv's and state of the art Duke Box ensures hours of fun.

Sunday night's quiz is guaranteed giggles and more free shots, a gallon of beer for the winners.

Your guaranteed to love this pub.

situated at the foot of hednesford hills, close to the hednesford hills race way. the trafalgar is a great family food pub. the pub consists of both a large bar and lounge inc carvery. the bar is the venue for traditional bar games inc darts and pool table + large screen tv. bar menu available + carvery call for details. also boasts large carpark , beer garden and patio not to mention the large out door play area for the kids. having been the landlord of the trafalgar back in 2005 , i highly reccomend this pub , great pub , great people and excellent atmosphere await you...try it
