Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Littleton

Named after the former colliery nearby, and there are some interesting local history photographs to be found in the rear lounge / dining area. Partly opened-out inside to leave an almost island servery, with the public bar (and pool table) at the front. Tidy (if dull) semi-modern furniture in both parts. Rear patio beer garden. Doom Bar (£3.30) and Hobgoblin available from the pair of handpumps on each counter.

Update: I am pleased to say that this c1930 pub has been refurbished in and out since my last visit. The garden and patio are still there, but the horrid lime green paintwork isn't. The interior has two areas: the smaller front bar has a dart board, separate pool room and a few TVs, while the larger L-shaped lounge, which is used for dining (run of the mill menu), has TVs. Plenty of local and mining (a colliery was over the road) photos on the walls. TVs were showing various things - including some soap without sound (and the purpose of this is?) - indeed, the music came from Vintage TV. The service was good and the clientele mixed. There are now a couple of Real Ale pulls - Enville Ale had been on, but at my visit there was only GK Abbot. A far better experience than last time.

March 2010: A large detached brick and white rendered pub, with lime green paintwork, patio and beer garden with 5-a-side goals.

The interior has been refurbished since my last visit a few years back. It has two areas; a bar with pool table, darts and Sky TV and a lounge, which is all food orientated. The lounge decor is like an Ember Inn, in red, white, olive green, with chopped wood, arty pictures, vases, sofas, comfy chairs, twigs and spotlights. The service was functional, the clientele mixed.

Beer; no real ale, just tap stuff, with at best an OK Banks's MILD.

Not my thing at all and the beer choice was limited, so i wouldn't go back.

The best in food and catering for families staff very good service very good. I take my grandchildren there everyone is friendly they have an hardcore of regulars who are catered for but they do not neglect visitors or regulars that use the place for food or using the garden with the kids cant say how good the place is I love it.

The pub was refurbished nearly 1 and a half years ago and the improvement is great, the pub has a big screen TV to watch football matches and the food is magnificent, from Bar Snacks to a 3 course meal! A must go, for people in Cannock!
