Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Flying Childers
I had look up the origins of this estate pub's unusual name, which refers to a locally bred early 18th-century racehorse. Anyway, the building is reasonably modern, operated by Marston's as a community local but also with a basic food offering. Plenty of seating in various areas around the bar, together with more outside (and partly under cover) in the patio beer garden. Does do real ale from a bank of three handpumps, but just Pedigree (£3.20) was available on my visit.
