Alan Winfield left this review about The Outpost

The Outpost looks like a 70s built pub, that Kimberley brewery built.
The pub is no longer a Kimberley tied house or Greene King who took over them.
Once inside there is an Oblong shaped bar room to the front,it is carpeted, the seating is bench type and chairs, there is a pool table in the middle of the room and a darts board on the right side, there was a small TV above the bar showing BBC news.
There is a separate lounge to the rear which looked smarter but empty and had no lighting on.
There were no real ales on here, there were two keg bitters,i had a drink of John Smiths smooth crap, which was pretty crap, the other keg bitter was Tetley Smooth.
This seemed to be a pretty sad pub with no atmosphere at all.
