E TA left this review about Victoria Inn

A back street local in a Victorian terrace, just off the town centre. On approaching it looks closed, until you realise the garden is busy and the front door ajar. The garden is large, paved and has a good number of wooden benches and tables. It was quite lively, a real contrast to the interior which had one elderly local. The single bar is formed from knocking through the earlier, smaller rooms. It is vaguely L-shaped, has laminate flooring there is a boarded-up 1960s fireplace. It smelled a bit musty. The main offerings were Bombardier in good condition and Stan’s cider on handpull. The landlady was a bit grumpy, and the welcome wasn’t that warm, but it was comfortable enough. The biggest downside is that no dogs are allowed, so it’s unlikely that I’ll be returning.
