E TA left this review about The Market House Inn

A rather ordinary town boozer that also does B&B. There is a main bar entered from the front; this has a small side room off it, once a children’s room when such things existed. These rooms occupy the ground floor of the original building. The rear wall has been removed making it open plan with a new single storey extension, into which you step down. This lower bar has large French doors at the back which open onto a paved garden with a selection of wooden benches and an exit to the back streets behind. It feels very soulless and is probably one of Glastonbury’s rougher pubs. One ale on , Doombar, which was in average condition. There were a few locals in, and one lady brought some toddlers with her to sit in the garden. I can’t say I’m in a rush to come back here, especially as opening times are very unpredictable.
