The Staff of Life is a Joule’s pub with a bit of seating in the small front bar area where there’s a fireplace with burner. Standard keg was available and two of the three hand pumps were in use drawing Bass and Joule’s Pale. A corridor up the centre of the pub leads to a couple more small seating areas up the right and to the toilets at the rear. Other that cricket being shown on the televisions via Sky Sports there wasn’t a lot going on during my Tuesday evening visit. I’ll probably walk past when next in the area.

The Staff of Life is a decent enough loking pub that is just down from the Kings Arms.
Once inside there was a bar to the left and another room to the right which had no bar in it,the bar was bare boarded and had bench seating,i did'nt get much chance to look round as the pub was packed with Stoke fans after watching them play.
There were two real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Bass which was a nice drink,the other beer was Pedigree.
This is a decent enough pub that i would have enjoyed more on a quieter time.
