Real Ale Ray left this review about Odfellows

The interior in here was a lot bigger than I had anticipated for some reason, especially the good sized back room. The bar hosted four handpumps with two in operation serving Salopian Shropshire Gold and Three Tuns XXX Pale Ale. I have to say my Three Tuns XXX was outstanding and warranted a couple of pints. I would defo return here for the beer quality alone, plus the pub had a relaxed atmosphere.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Odfellows

Describes itself as a wine bar, but you would never really know because it looks and feels like a pub. Light wood furniture in the reversed 'J'-shaped bar, the partitioned-off slightly split-level dining area alongside and the side conservatory. There is also a small patio garden to the rear. With three of the four handpumps in use, I found the two regular Salopian beers - Shropshire Gold and Oracle - and Rantipole from Three Tuns (£3.10) as the guest.

Normally the words "wine bar" don't appeal to me but I thought this place was decent. 3 beers on including one from Salopian. Very handy for the train station.

Very close to the railway station, small terrace at the rear adjoining the arches. Selling a choice of non standard real ales.

I am not sure what to make of this pub compared to other pubs in the town. It is quite a large old pub selling three cask ales from micro brewers. Trade was quiet on my very brief visit prior to catching a train to Oakengates. It is an ordinary sort of pub and very handy with the station entrance right outside the door.

Aqualung . left this review about Odfellows Wine Bar

This is a pub that has been given the bare floorboards and large wooden tables treatment, making it resemble one of the trendy pubs in Hackney or Stoke Newington but without the inflated prices. The beer selection was limited compared to the other GBG pubs in town. It consisted of Oddfellows Shifnal Pale Ale, Salopian Shropshire Gold & Oracle and Batham's Best.
There was also a low ABV cider called Merry Monkey. Apparently the Oddfellows is brewed somewhere on the premises and I ordered it (£2.40) but sadly it was a bit cloudy and smelled of vinegar.
It was changed without question for Batham's Best which was superb.
This place would be worth another visit just on the basis that it's only a few yards South of the Station but it would be good if they could get the home brewing side of things sorted.

Oggwyn Great left this review about Odfellows Wine Bar

Pub is as described in previous reviews , i visited as part of the R.A.T. beer festival which saw a marquee on the rear patio with around twenty ales available.
Not sure what the pub wants to be a trendy wine bar , ale pub or resturant . Service and locals were friendly enough .
Its OK in here if nothing speial

Soup Dragon left this review about Odfellows Wine Bar

A terraced pub/restaurant in brick and white render, with some green paintwork. There is a rear patio. Part of the Odley Inns chain which boasts the Coach & Horses, Shrewsbury and Bell & Talbot, Bridgnorth.

The interior is in cream, green and wood panel, with a brown ceiling. It is generallty food led, with candled tables and with the dining area on a slightly higher level. I didn't eat so can't comment on that. It is open plan, generally an L-shape, with an area for live music and a bar/lounge area to the right of the door on entry that has a mix of sofas, comfy seats and wooden tables, chairs and settles. There was an elclectic mix of old photographs, maps, prints and mirrors on the walls. The service was fine, the clientele quite mixed and background music soft.

Beer; tap stuff, with Snowdonia Purple Moose, Wye Valley HPA and a decent Salopian Shropshire Gold

Far better than i expected and far better than Seven up the road, which i guess is the most similar to it in Shifnal. Worth a visit, most definately.

ROB Camra left this review about Odfellows Wine Bar

I'm not exactly sure what this place is trying to be, but it certainly seems to be working judging by the number of people who were in when I visited. It sells a good selection of real ale but seems to be aimed more at the food and wine set. The Three Tuns XXX was on good form. Called in again the following week and had a very nice pint of Purple Moose Glaslyn Ale. I now notice that they've got all the daily papers hung up for the drinkers to read. Good idea. I had a look at the Guardian (I'd already read the Mirror). Nice place.

John Horton left this review about Odfellows Wine Bar

This is a pub that can't decide what it is or wants to be. I think it's more like an upmarket American bar than a pub. Supplying 4 real ales (all relatively local) is a good sign but the place feels more like a restaurant with a large bar than it does a pub. The food is excellent and not what you would normally expect. According to the menu all the produce is locally sourced. The place to take a lady if you wanted to impress and get a real ale at the same time. Comfortable, light, warm and quiet describe the place. Large car park at the rear of the premises. The pub/wine bar spells its name with just one 'd' as in Odfellows. Although not my type of pub you might like it.
