Komakino . left this review about The Horse & Radish

UPDATE:
Now a gastropub, daftly renamed The Horse & Radish, the old layout remains roughly in situ, although the bar has been lowered and the garish blue underlighting removed. St Austell Tribute, TT Landlord and local Hooky Gold in the stumps, with the Hooky chiming in at £4.20 for a pint. Loads of gins behind the bar as is the fad these days and the money shot remains the terrace and beer garden out back with that lovely view.

Now primarily an Indian restaurant, although you can visit just for a drink. Lots of exposed stone as well as tables set out for dining. The bar itself had underlights which changed colour which is unusual, and a terrace out back has great views of the Windrush valley. One ale - Sharp's Doom Bar - on one of the two pumps at a staggering £2.75 for a half! When I asked how much a pint was, I was told £4.50. So you get penalised for drinking a half instead of a pint. They get a two for the fact that they actually serve real ale.
