Decent pub in the small village of Sleights. Not far from Whitby. There were 3 beers on when I called - Black Sheep bitter, Morland bitter and Back Of The Net. I went for the latter and it was fine. Well worth a visit.

Called Thursday 28th of November mid afternoon only one customer and he was on his way out looks nice enough place nice and warm clean toilets. The girl who served us was pleasant enough liked to talk probably with us being strangers looks as if it could be a busy local on a night will call again when we pass

Rather surprised at earlier comments - perhaps it has changed hands. I called in here with my girlfriend on a cold February night and was pleasantly surprised by the warm attention we received. The food was very good in terms of both quantity and quality and the bill was very reasonable.
Thoroughly recommend - although I'm sure a certain Mr Winner would disagree ;-)

Some years ago I attended a christmas lunch here. The Beer was ok and so was the food, but it lacked the all important atmosphere.

After paying £20 for 2 extremely small portions of food, all I can express is my disappointment with this pub. To make matters worse the lady manager of this establishment reacted to my comments by snatching my switch card out of my hands to pay for
