A single room dive bar with a pool table and tv screens showing sports matches. It was dark and unwelcoming. The entrance was guarded by a large gang of unfriendly smokers, and there was no real ale on offer despite the 'Freehouse' tag. A rum affair indeed.

This is a small Irish bar that was fairly busy on Saturday night. Unfortunately for me there was a big sign in the window of the door saying ‘MEMBERS ONLY’ so I was unable to venture in to sample the atmosphere. Funnily enough Hennessey’s in Ruislip had much the same sign but this was behind the bar so I was served before I spotted it. I’m not sure if this is a normal weekend thing or if it was due to the FA Cup Semi Final game at Wembley, but either way I wasn’t that impressed.
