Steve C left this review about The Church Inn

The Church Inn is a Robinsons pub that had an Irish wake in progress during a recent Monday evening visit. They’d drunk the ale dry with both the Unicorn and Idaho being off which left standard keg available from the bar counter located to the left front of the entrance where it faces seating up the left-hand wall. More seating is found in the left rear and to the right of the entrance, this is a pub layout I don’t recall seeing before. Maybe it’s hard to judge a pub when it has a one off event in progress, but the staff and wake attendees were all very friendly. And kudos to the pub for not closing for a private function. I liked it in here and agree that it’s the best along this stretch, even without the ale.

ROB Camra left this review about The Church Inn

This pub looks to have been refurbished recently and Robbies have done a decent job on it. The room to the right as you enter has a pool table & dartboard. The main room has some TVs which were showing sport and a quiz machine. There's also a good sized beer garden at the rear. 4 handpumps on the bar with 2 clipped. Unusually for a Robbies pub they didn't have the ubiquitous Unicorn on the bar. Instead there was a choice of Dizzy Blonde or Trooper. The Dizzy was a decent pint as well. It's a very neat looking pub and probably the best on this stretch of Oldham Road.
