Large pub not far from the station. We arrived not long after 10 on a Saturday morning to find a bouncer already on the door. As I expected he informed me it was home supporters only but he let us in after a short negotiation! An average pint of London Pride later we moved on. Glad to leave it to the Fulham fans to be honest!

This is a large, undoubtedly Victorian pub, diagonally opposite the Railway. You can tell what kind of pub this is going to be with adverts in the picture windows for ‘Student Deals’ (with picture of a student in gown and mortar board), ‘Putney Sings Karaoke Here’ (not bloody joking) and ‘Putney Parties Live DJ’.
Arriving at just gone 10.00 last Friday, the first hurdle I had to overcome was being frisked by one of two bouncers, before entering a dark yet seemingly characterless barn of a place with flashing disco lights, games machines and thumping music playing karaoke presided over by a DJ, with their lyrics' subtitles broadcast to more TVs than I could count, further bright TV screens advertising drinks’ deals. I didn’t really see any furniture, customers still Wetherspoon’s-esque as encountered by Rex over 13 years ago, with plenty of studenty types and inexplicably, quite a few old codgers.
An uninviting ale choice amounted to Gloom and GK IPA, my half of Neck Oil arriving in exchange for £3.40.
Belying its Putney location, this is an awful place to which no genuine pubgoer should ever be subjected.

Big pub but quite gloomy interior.Chintzy wallpaper ,curtains and lampshades give it a dated feelFour beers on cask Ghostship,Tea,Mad Goose and some filth from Cottage.Liked the high chairs and tables.

A quite large Victorian pub, but rather nondescript once inside, usual pubco type formula, lots of tall tables all sporting cheap end food menus. Six pumps on the bar with four in operation, these were Green King IPA, Doom Bar, Cottage St Georges day a hangover from last month obviously, but a shining light in Twickenham Naked Ladies which was rather good. That aside not too much to recomend in this pub.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Fox & Hounds

Quite an attractive façade, but the anonymous pubco interior has been partly opened out at some stage to leave a large 'J'-shaped bar with various seating areas (one located up a pair of steps). Standard Stonegate food offers. Sports TVs and background music. Unappealing patio beer garden to the rear. Four of six handpumps in operation, offering, Pride, Bombardier, Tribute and the seasonal Cottage Goall!! (£3.30).

Apparently this is now a Stonegate pubco house, but it has all the hallmarks of a bog standard Spirit Group pub. But there were three ales on – Young’s Bitter (£3 a pint), London Pride and Bombardier. These are all functional bitters without being anything exciting. There were also a couple of Weston’s ciders on tap. The menu contains the usual pub grub stuff at reasonable prices plus the usual meal deals e.g. “2 (sic) meals for only £7.95”. There are two or three normal tables and chairs around to the right of the bar counter, but the majority of furnishings are tall upholstered benches (you know, the ones where your feet can’t touch the floor) and tall tables/stools. The TVs were muted and showing some sports channel, with pop music being played, admittedly at background levels.
The clientele and ambience are approaching that of your average Wetherspoons. I couldn’t see any redeeming features – perhaps excepting the Young’s Bitter at £3 per pint - and I really don’t think this is a pub to which I’d return.

This place is perfect for watching the football as it has loads of screens and plenty of room to sit and stand. I'm not sure that I'd bother any other time though as the Pride and Bombardier lines get cleaned together and the place has a Barracuda Ltd feel to it.
