Buckinghamshires only entry in the CAMRA Guide to Heritage Pubs.
Ran by the same family since the 1910s and unchanged since the last refit in the 1930s.
Two rooms - not accessible to each other from inside (although there may be a portal through the gents) - I went into the public bar.
Long bar with no pumps (beer is gravity fed from barrels) and furniture like your nan's house. I loved it.
Rebellion IPA for £2.70 was a result too.
Worth seeking out - they won't be around forever.

No change here in the intervening seven years – still a heritage pub and worth a visit for that. There are a number of stillaged barrels behind the bar off left with Rebellion IPA and Brakspear available on my visit. The inside was a bit whiffy so we decamped to the small but perfectly formed grassed garden, where we encountered the pub tortoise. My Rebellion was bang average, classic stillage issue. Closes in the afternoon and the landlady kept to hours rather rigidly, turning away a carful of potential customers a few minutes before time - so beware if hiking out from town.

Unspoilt two-room pub located in a National Trust village and features on CAMRA’s National Inventory of historic interiors. All beers served straight from the barrel and it feels rather like drinking in the landlady’s front room. Run by the same family since 1910! Notes AWOL so no rating.
