Soup Dragon left this review about The Suncastle

Effectively, this is an entertainments centre. I think it was built in the 1930s and had chalets and a bowling green. It takes its name from the fact that both a tacky stone castle, with turrents and crenellations, and that the roof is glass, to allow the sun in! There is a patio area. On heading in, there appeared to be a restaurant room at the back, along with a kid's play room. The main room in also in the twee stonework, with a gallery level, although there is somegold patterned wallpaper and a tartan carpet. There is a bar, stage, dance floor and DJ area. There are fake tapestries, mixed with sofas and comfy chairs, so an eclectic mix really. It is a family place and the service was fine, although the music was charty - but at least at a decent level. There were TVs with silent news on. Beer; no real ale, they had Ansells Bitter and an OK at best Ansells MILD on keg. It isn't a pub it is a entertainment centre - not really my thing.
