Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about White Swan

Very traditional pub, serving a small community and users of the River Trent and Fossdyke Navigation. Two small bars, albeit with the larger one opposite the main counter only having two tables whereas the smaller corner one has more furniture. Also has a separate dining room, and additional seating (partly under cover) can also be found out on the front terrace. Just Black Sheep (3.60) available from a total of three handpumps.

Thuck Phat left this review about White Swan

The White Swan has an air of faded grandeur from the outside with steps leading up to a terrace in front of a solid, symmetrical, whitewashed frontage.
Inside is cosier with three main rooms: the carpeted main bar, a back bar with dart board and a dining room. I'd guess that the dining room is only used at busier times as everyone who eating was sticking to the main bar.
It's a family run affair and a friendly one with both bar staff and locals chatty and happy to engage in friendly banter.
It's renowned for food and the menu lists a range of pub staples alongside a couple of specials on a blackboard. The attractions are value with mains priced below £10, steaks aside, generous helpings and that everything is home cooked. You won't find anything especially modern here but you will leave full.
Just two handpumps with both Black Sheep and Black Sheep Monty Python Holy Grail. The Holy Grail was decent enough and well kept. The pub sticks with Black Sheep as they feel that the brewery offers them the best service and the locals like it. Can't argue with that really.
If you're boating on the tidal Trent then this is one of the few places to stop for a pint and something to eat and is very serviceable as such. If not and you'd like a Black Sheep and some home cooked traditional pub food then this is the place to come.

Alan Winfield left this review about White Swan

The White Swan is a white painted pub that is set back from the road.
Once inside the pub has three seperate rooms, there is a dining room to the front left,a small square shaped bar to the front right, the main room is to the rear, this room is oblonged shaped with the bar on the right side, there was some comfy leather bench seating either side of a wood burning stove which faced the bar,the TV was showing bargain hunt.
There were two real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Black Sheep bitter which was quite a nice drink, the other beer was Doom Bar.
Cheap meals were being served.
This is a decent enough pub to have drink in.

A short stroll from Torksey Lock, this pub has retained a three room interior.Throught the front door and left is a dining room with set tables, straight ahead is a lounge with a large brick fireplace which dominates the space along with comfy chairs and tables. The mainbar is here but doubling back on yourself takes you to the public bar with its own counter,a dart board with no trebles,a flatscreen with Sky Spots News and bench seating around two perimeter walls with tables and upright chairs. There is a lot of banter in the public bar ,but strangers are welcome. The pub is popular with folk from the nearby caravan park ,and boaters taking refuge off the tidal Trent.
Two real ales from Black Sheep were on during my trip,an unexciting Golden Sheep was downed in the convivial atmosphere on a brief visit.
