Located in the village of Barrowby, west of Grantham, this locals' pub has 3 rooms and offers a fairly friendly welcome. A TV in the main room was showing some kind of sport that nobody appeared interested in.
The pub appears in the 2022 Good Beer Guide, but appears to have dispensed of its guest ales, serving just 2 regular beers - Harvest Pale & Doom Bar. A blackboard titled guest beers was empty and I did double check with the landlady that these were the only beers, having guessed that there were possibly further handpulls in the empty room to the rear of the bar.
There is a covered area used by smokers next to the pub and a garden just beyond the car park. A disappointing start to a day out in Lincolnshire.

A basic village local. Two rooms knocked through a bit in the main bar (padded bench seating, wood burning stove, pool, darts and TV snooker) and it felt a bit higgledy-piggledy and quite messy, like someone was halfway through moving house. Not having some of the lights on also made it feel a bit gloomy on an already grey afternoon. Discovered later was a room round the side wasn't obvious and was smarter than the main bar. Four pumps overall, two in either bar (we didn’t know of the existence of the second set of pumps until after the event). The Hook Norton was off leaving Whole Hop, Hop on the Mow which was a bit so-so. As we sat down we noted the blackboard claiming Adnams Bitter and Doom Bar elsewhere. GBG listed and praised elsewhere, I struggled to get much out of this one, unfortunately – maybe I hit it on a bad day? 5.5

The White Swan is a smallish corner pub in the middle of Barrowby.
Once inside there was a small room to the left which was carpeted and had comfortable bench seating and there was a longish bar to the right this had a pool table at the far end of it.
There were three real ales on the bar i had a drink of Adnams bitter and this was a very nice drink the other beers were Adnams Broadside and London Pride.
This was a nice comfortable pub to have a drink in.
