This very good looking stone fronted pub was worryingly shut when I went to visit and a quick google seems to indicate that the resident Landlord and Lady have recently left and as this is an Enterprise Inn’s property, with their recent record of pub sales for residential, you do have to worry about this one.
According to the local CAMRA rag the pub is more aligned to dining than the other pubs in the village but usually provides three ales with Sharp’s Doom Bar and St Austell Tribute alongside one from the local XT brewery

The pub was recently used by the BBC TV Show, Raymond Blancs The Restaurant and has was renamed for the duration of the show.
The pub has now been re-furbished by new owners and re-opened on July 31st as a country pub offering real ales and great food.
