Komakino . left this review about The Bull & Butcher

A village pub set back from the road with plenty of green surrounding it. Bench seating encroaches onto the green, and cindered areas either side of a rudimentary driveway form a 'car park'. A patio outside has some further bench seating, and although the pub sign proclaims Freehouse, Greene King umbrellas unsettle and this is confirmed by the disappointing two-ale selection of just GK IPA and Old Speckled Hen on the small, entrance-facing bar. With a string of red fairy lights above, the bar serves a small, oblong room, with a wooden bench seat and two wooden tables and chairs facing and a tall, round tables with two bar stools the only seating in this area. A small, white-painted tile fireplace is against the left-hand wall with a small flatscreen TV hung above. To the right of the bar, a separate area, primarily for dining, extends towards the back. This is a characterful, tiny country pub and the landlord and landlady were friendly sorts, but my pint of OSH was a little on the expensive side and the ale range isn't going to set the world on fire (the Vale Brewery is only a mile or two away), so a below-par score than what it should have received.
