Nice warm, painted wood panel clad pub Busy for lunch.3 cask beers on and my W+eton football themed beer was top notch.Again well decorated for the festive season.Unfortunate change of name just now but might soon be called just The Harry.

Sadly it didn't work out as well as I'd hoped. Took too long to revisit and this time there was just the one W&E on - Guardsman - which was so-so. Otherwise I think it was Pride.

Seems to have some changes for the better in here. Whilst the interior has changed little (the fabric banquettes are looking somewhat tired these days), there are now three W&E ales at the bar - Guardsman, Conqueror and Mandarin on our visit – plus 20% off a pint CAMRA discount. Both the Mandarin and Conqueror were in pretty good form as well. Perhaps a more foody slant, can’t recall anyone eating here before. Genuinely surprised and quite enjoyed our brief stop-off. Would say it’s worth a go now. Dare I give it a 7? It’d feel strange doing so, maybe one more visit required…Rated 7

A place that always flatters to deceive – the carpeted L-shaped interior is quite nice and cosy (especially at Christmas) but the beer is mediocre at best and sometimes downright terrible. Perhaps worth going for some of the more unusual punters that appear in there on a Saturday night. Rated 3

A large corner pub,L shaped in side with wooden flooring, the room decorated with various Copper and Brass nick nacks along with a collection of jugs and the like.Beers were London Pride, Windsor and Eton Parklife and a rather excellent St Austell Proper Job with another W&E beer coming soon.
The Proper Job was so good I decided to stop for another along with a roast dinner, good value at under a tenner. Decent pub.

Despite its location in the tourist end of Windsor, I found this allegedly historic pub to be no more than a routine town centre house with no real target audience except passing trade. Inside there is an L-shaped space, slightly raised at the far end, tartan carpet, patterned banquettes, framed local scenes, military prints and for some reason, possibly in early anticipation of the World Cup, or maybe to appear tourist friendly, several flags of random nations fixed to the ceilings. Strangely hidden in a corner is a large framed "tree" of the British Royal line.
There is a claim to be the oldest surviving building from when Windsor governed itself, being built in 1518, but I have to say there is little real feel of history and I would dispute that date with regards to the building as it is today.
Four handpumps, Pride, Doom Bar, Vale Brewery Red Kite and Windsor & Eton Knight of the Garter (£3.90). Food served, you'd be mad not too around here, basic laminated menus with double up deals. My pint was ok once I'd managed to get a full one, I had to ask the barmaid for a top up, not once, but then again after her first half hearted attempt. Doubt we'll be exchanging Christmas cards.
TV was muted on the end wall, a few benches on the pavement provide some outdoor seating.

Was in for another pint the other week as this pub does have a homely feel as others have stated, with its traditional décor, half wood panelled walls and tartan carpets and you can usually get a seat, which is not always the case in the has to be said superior Carpenters Arms around the corner.
Three handpumps going as usual dispense Brains Reverend James alongside the usual ubiquitous London Pride and Doombar. I’ve never had a downright awful pint, like others in here but it’s fair to say The Reverend James wasn’t on top form and the same pint was available and more like it should be in the pub round the corner.

Located a few doors down from The Carpenters Arms is The Three Tuns.

Outside, we learn that the building dates back to 1515 and is the earliest surviving building connected with the Government of Windsor. The Three Tuns was alternatively known as the Guildhall and as the Town Hall until the building of the present Guild Hall.

Despite the apparent age of the building, the pub interior is a bog standard cut and paste job - comfortable and carpeted, but, despite there being several different areas, no real character or distinctive features.

Based on my recent lunchtime visit, this pub has more of a locals feel than the nearby Carpenters Arms and there's no real discernible play for the passing tourist trade.

The 3 pumps were serving London Pride and a rather moderate Doom Bar at £ 2.90p.

I'd be inclined to pass this one by next time
