A nice traditional old school pub let down on the cask beer front with only Doom Bar available from the five handpumps and the very most basic of keg options served the island bar. The single U shaped room is carpeted and the walls feature a striped wallpaper, seperately to the rear of this is a rather smart looking restaurant ot odds with the old style pub. Not bad but needs some interesting beer.

Back street pub that still retains some courage branding on the exterior. Quirky interior that wraps around the central bar. 2 real ales on during my visit.

Popped in for a revisit, the Pride has gone and been replaced by - groan - Doom Bar, with Courage Best and W&E Guardsman also on. Sadly the Guardsman was pretty poor (an odd metallic twang and quite warm). Down a point.

A pretty little pub in a pretty little Windsor back street. Quite characterful inside, a traditional horseshoe shaped interior with three interlinked rooms each with similar décor but different in character, most decorated with some early 90's striped wallpaper above the fabric banquette seating. Cosy and carpeted, a nice laid-back atmosphere inside with a friendly local feel. Quiet retro chart music playing. Bar talk re the upcoming Clegg/Farage debate, though some of the comments from one individual made me question the validity of universal suffrage. Darts blackboard on wall but no sign of the board! Quirky rear restaurant that looks like a garden conversion (was empty). Three ales, WEBREW Guardsman (spluttered and died), Pride (good) and Courage Best, served up by a very friendly barmaid. A nice local boozer and I’d do this one again. Rated 7

Brilliant food, restaurant can get very busy but you can eat in the bar.
