The Black Horse is a large L-shaped pub with an central L-shaped bar counter and seating throughout, including on a raised section in the right rear. An FA Cup replay was airing via BBC, there are lots of televisions so I’d be surprised if this pub doesn’t have satellite sports. To the left is a pool table. Standard and premium keg was available from the polite barmaid. There are three very shiny hand pumps, but these haven’t been used for many a moon. This is a forgettable pub.

A generic chain pub that has signs up claiming that they sell real ales. Liars! That's going to cost them a couple of points and they won't have many to start with. There are 3 unused handpumps on the bar, so maybe they did at some point in the past. There are some leather sofas and chairs around, but in the main it's standard dining tables and chairs. A totally generic menu and as you might expect, some screaming brats, that's another point gone. There's a pool table to the left as you enter. A half of Fosters was a rip off £1.80. It's truly awful.
