Not open on a Friday afternoon visit and some builders were taking some gear down the side alley but that could have been for the property next door, no obvious signage to say it's actually closed, maybe evening opening?

Located down a side street and impressively busy at 12.03 on a Saturday afternoon. It’s fairly small (despite the recent extension) and there was rather a lack of seating, space being swallowed up by a pool table. Clearly refurbished in the last few years from an IKEA-esque catalogue with light pine colours and quite brightly lit. Two ales; the Courage (which we were advised was ‘running low’) meant we opted for Doom Bar and got a pretty decent half. A blokey place, with two different (muted) footy matches on the go and over-loud music. More positive were the well-conditioned darts board and sizeable rear smoking patio/garden. Whilst nothing to write home about its context in Slough makes it a decent stop. Plus it was one of the few places to have any form of heating outside the JDW.

The ALPHA ARMS has been extended and newly refurbished throughout, it has a beautiful Beer garden decking area, Pool table, Dart Board, Free Juke box until 9.00pm every day, soft leather sofas, Fine Wine and Real ales, Live music every week, freshley made sandwiches/rolls every day, the pub opened in December 2009 if on a pub crawl pop in and see the difference.

This pub has been taken over by a very nice couple Noel Leavy and Sophie Henderson, there is real ale,fine wines, a dart board, juke box very tidy backgarden.
